Oxford Farming Conference Scholarships

The Royal Highland and Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) is calling for applications from ambitious young people from or based in Scotland wishing to attend the Oxford Farming Conference, which is taking place 5 – 7 January 2022 both virtually and in person at Oxford.

One applicant will be selected to attend on a fully-funded RHASS scholarship and given the opportunity to hear from inspiring and challenging speakers from across the world and network with key individuals shaping the farming sector.

Interested young people are asked to submit a video, no longer than two minutes, giving their views on the theme of the conference “Routes to Resilience”

Please be aware an away day is being organised by the Oxford Farming Conference which will take place on 28 October, and the candidate would have to be available to attend that.

RHASS Chairman Bill Gray commented, “The Society is delighted to continue to support attendance at this conference and I urge young people to apply as it is a tremendous opportunity to network with peer groups, agricultural influencers and policymakers. This will broaden their horizons and allow them to bring new impetus to Scottish Agriculture.”

Deadline for completion of applications will be 5 p.m. on Friday 22 October and applications should be submitted to awards@rhass.org.uk
