The Board of Directors is responsible for the governance of the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland (RHASS) and all RHASS members are entitled to stand for election as an Ordinary Director for the area in which they are resident. Diversity of experience and background strengthen the decision-making processes of the Board and RHASS welcomes applications from all members.

Nominations are open for Ordinary Directors for the term 2024-2028.

The closing date for receipt of nominations is 5pm on Wednesday 10 January 2024 with completed forms and any supporting emails to be sent to the Governance Officer, Kirsty Bell, by email at kbell@rhass.org.uk. In the event of there being two or more valid nominations in any area, information on how to vote will be provided to all members who are resident in that area.

RHASS General Meeting

A General Meeting of the Royal Highland & Agricultural Society of Scotland took place on Monday 20th of November. Thank you to those members who engaged and attended.

 The proposal to increase fees as follows was passed by the members present:

  • Adult Annual - £105 from January 2024
  • Adult 10-year Term - £1,050 from January 2024
  • Life - £2,550 from January 2023 (agreed in 2022)
  • Junior - £50 from January 2024
  • Senior - £50 from January 2024
