A letter from our CEO
Our Chief Executive, Alan Laidlaw, recently penned a letter to the Edinburgh Evening News in response to Edinburgh City Council signing up to the Plant Based Treaty detailing how the narrative that meat and dairy are the main drivers of our climate emergency is worrying.
The Plant Based Treaty promotes a plant-based diet and has been presented as the ‘solution’ to lessen the effects of climate change, thereby excluding the important role of meat and dairy in sustainable agriculture.
