Royal Highland Show

The Royal Highland Show is one of Scotland's most iconic events, showcasing the very best of farming food and rural life. A great day out for everyone of all ages, get up close to the country's top quality livestock, taste exceptional food & drink and experience rural living at its most vibrant.

Contributing almost £39.5million to the economy in 2022, the Royal Highland Show is more than just a great day out.

The first show was held in 1822 on a site that is now home to the Scottish Parliament. Today, it is Scotland’s biggest outdoor event attracting around 190,000 people and regarded as one of Europe’s largest agribusiness shows.

For four days in June, you can see the finest livestock share centre stage with Scotland’s bountiful larder, spectacular show-jumping, countryside pursuits, educational workshops, entertainment, shopping and a host of business opportunities.

The Royal Highland Show has become not only the most important date in the country’s calendar but also with Government and industry bodies, food producers and business leaders. With over 100 media reporting live from the Royal Highland Show, it is the place to make the headlines, network, influence and most importantly, do business.
